It Happened in Earth: The Victory Within

Book three in the Christ the Victor Trilogy | Author Glenn L Earls

It Happened in Heaven: The Victory Above
The ascension of Jesus to heaven is essential to the redemption story because it is not merely His departure from earth. It is His enthronement over heaven and earth. It is the moment the crucified and risen Christ enters the heavenly realm as humanity’s victorious representative, carrying in Himself the full triumph of God over sin, death, and the powers of darkness.

The cross and resurrection reveal that Christ has won the battle. The ascension reveals where that victory is presented, acknowledged, and installed in authority. He does not ascend as a passive figure withdrawing from history, but as the Son of Man coming before the Ancient of Days to receive dominion, glory, and a kingdom that cannot pass away.

What if the Book of Revelation is not a prophecy of fear, but the unveiling of Christ’s victory?

It Happened in Earth: The Victory Within

The victory was won in Hell.
The Victor was enthroned in Heaven.
Now the story comes to Earth.

Jesus Christ descended into death and defeated the powers that held humanity captive. He ascended into Heaven and took His place at the right hand of the Father. But the ascended Christ did not abandon the earth.

He returned.

Through the Holy Spirit, the life of the risen Christ came to inhabit humanity.

It Happened in Earth: The Victory Within is the third book in the Christ the Victor Trilogy, completing the journey from Christ’s descent, to His ascension, to His indwelling presence in earthen vessels.

Pentecost was more than the birth of a religious movement. It was the beginning of something God had desired from the beginning: habitation. God would no longer dwell in temples made with human hands. He would make His home within humanity.

“We have this treasure in earthen vessels.”

Redemption was the pathway. Habitation was the destination.

Beginning with God’s eternal purpose and moving through the Mount of Olives, the upper room, Pentecost, and the Spirit-filled life that followed, It Happened in Earth explores what it means for the same Christ who conquered sin, death, and the powers of darkness to now live within His people.

This is not a call to greater religious striving. The finished work of Christ is finished. We are not trying to earn what grace has already given or become acceptable to a Father who has already embraced us in His Son. Yet what has been given in fullness is intended to become visible in maturity. The divine seed grows. Christ is formed within us. The treasure hidden in clay begins to shine through the vessel.

Along the way, Glenn L. Earls explores the baptism in the Holy Spirit, being continually filled with the Spirit, the language of the Spirit, union with Christ, spiritual formation, and the believer’s participation in the victory Jesus has already accomplished.

At the center of it all is love.

The Father did not redeem humanity merely to rescue us from something. He redeemed us because He desired to dwell with us—and within us. The Holy Spirit is not simply power from Heaven but the presence of God making His home in humanity.

The story that began with a descent into Hell and continued with an ascension into Heaven now reaches its intended destination:

Christ in you.
The treasure within the earthen vessel.
The victory of Heaven manifested in Earth.

This is the victory within.
